the seniors and some of the juniors on the guard my senior year were the only capable ones. so we were the only ones put on weapons. the rest of the fuckers who didn’t know what they were doing got put in the back — and it looked like a goddamn car wash 24/7. i honestly don’t know how we got a 1 at the last competition that we went to. winterguard was like 500% better.
Yeah, well, everything I just said happened in winterguard for me. That was my winterguard and I honestly wanted to strangle a good bit of them. It was supposed to be fun, but ever since one of my instructors left to live in florida, everything went south. I honestly was debating on quitting my senior year even though I was the captain. The only good thing we ever did in marching band that looked remotely interesting was spin those fucking air blades, and I can’t tell you how many times people dropped those on themselves wHEN THEY WEREN’T SUPPOSED TO BE TOSSING THEM.
