we never used air blades, albeit i thought they looked really cool. our guard instructor thought that they were dumb. 
our winterguard was mostly good, bc our guard instructor cared more during that season. but we always had that one person … however, my senior year was great, even if we didn’t place that well. the guard was small and about 75% of us were seniors. we did ‘house that built me’ by miranda lambert, and pair that with it being our last year — dude, it was brutal. i sobbed at my last show. like a baby.

Air blades are actually pretty interesting to spin, but it’s weird the first few times?  I can see how you instructor thought that they were dumb, though.  It was just weird.
I wish my senior year was like that.  ANd god, I can imagine everyone crying at the end of that show.  I was so glad for my season to be over that I didn’t even cry when it all finished.  I was just happy we were done and that I could be out of there as fast as I could.  I ended up only coming out of it with two good friends, and the rest–heads so far up their asses.  But I need to look up your show now to watch it.  I’d show you mine, but even I’m ashamed of it.
